Telling the Story a Little Differently
Lately, I’ve been doing a lot more writing.
I’ve dabbled with blog posts and articles over the years, but it’s always been sporadic—something I returned to when time allowed or when a particular story asked for it. Now, I’m trying to be more deliberate. To explore other creative outlets. To find new ways to tell a story, or go deeper into one that already exists.
Photography has always been my first language. It still is. A photo can carry a lot—mood, memory, movement, emotion. Sometimes, it’s enough. One frame says everything I need it to say.
But there are moments when I want to offer more.
Not just more images—more dimension.
Some stories stretch beyond the edge of the frame. Some moments ask to be written, not just seen.
That’s what I’ve been exploring lately. Through recent blog posts, through my book Wander Light, and through quiet reflections that I’ve started to shape into something more lasting. Writing hasn’t replaced photography for me. It’s become a way to add to it—to carry the story a little further, in a different voice.
This is part of the creative path I’m on now. I don’t know exactly where it’s heading, but I’m enjoying the process of unfolding it slowly. Letting the work evolve, without rushing it.
If you've been following along, thank you. I hope you're finding something in these posts that resonates. And if there's a kind of story or subject you'd like to hear more about—photography, travel, creative work, or something else entirely—feel free to reach out or leave a comment. I'm listening.
